APPLIED ROBOTICS REACHES INTO ARGENTINA

Applied Robotics Inc. of Glenville, NY (www.appliedrobotics.com), a leading provider of automation end-of-arm tooling and connectivity solutions, has added Buenos Aires Technology, (BAT) (www. buenosairestechonology.com) as a new distributor. Applied Robotics serves a wide spectrum of customers and industries in manufacturing, welding, assembly, material removal, and material handling applications throughout the world. Buenos Aires Technology is an exclusive distributor of Adept robots in Argentina and other parts of South America. BAT works with the material handling, packaging, and food processing industries, markets high-end technology, and offers professional consultancy in integrating automation into plants. COLD JET RELOCATES WEST COAST HEADQUARTERS

Cold Jet (www.coldjet.com) has relocated its West Coast region office to a modern facility at 9370 7th Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The new location serves as the center of Cold Jet’s sales, service, and support for the western United States.
 
CONCOA WINS GOLDEN GAS AWARD

CONCOA (www.concoa.com), a leading manufacturer of gas pressure and flow control technologies, received the Gases & Instrumentation International 2009 Golden Gas Award. Publisher Paul Nesdore presented the award to CONCOA for its innovative new Medical IntelliSwitch. Accepting it on the Company’s behalf at the recent Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy in Chicago were President Sande Dukas and Specialty Gas Product Manager Larry Gallagher. Winner in the gas delivery system category, the Medical IntelliSwitch is an automatic gas switchover offering continuous pressure and flow control for use in hospitals, clinics, healthcare facilities, and medical gas pipeline systems. An independent panel of judges selected the winning product based on its ability to solve an important challenge to the gas industry, technological innovation, environmental “green” attributes, superior specifications, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
 
LINDE REBRANDS PHARMACEUTICALS

Linde Gases, (www.linde.com) has begun to consolidate its pharmaceutical grade gases range under the trademarked product name of VERISEQ®. Currently the range is sold under a combination of product names including VERISEQ® and Trace. Customers will start to take delivery of the re-named gases no later than November 2009. Any non-VERISEQ® product names will be obsolete beginning in March 2010. VERISEQ® pharmaceutical grade gases, part of Linde’s HiQ® specialty gases product range, include nitrogen, carbon dioxide, oxygen, argon, and helium in both bulk and packaged formats, and hydrogen and synthetic air in packaged format. All gases conform to international specifications and help manufacturers meet the stringent requirements of European, US, and Japanese pharmaceutical and drug administration authorities. “Linde has a broad range of pharmaceutical grade gases across the VERISEQ® portfolio that enables pharmaceutical manufacturers to swiftly commercialize their operations by quickly complying with all necessary specifications” says Stephen Harrison, Head of Specialty Gases and Specialty Equipment at Linde. “The improvement in product naming consistency will make brand recognition easier for customers and also provide greater simplicity in both sourcing and up-scaling from cylinder to bulk gases.”
 
MTG RECOGNIZED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVE

Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc. (MTG) (www. mathesontrigas.com) was presented with the Environmental Recognition Award from the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) for its Cylinder Recycle Project, managed by Joe Barnett, Vice President Safety Engineering, Matheson Tri-Gas. MTG worked jointly with environmental contractors to develop a method to remove residual toxic gas from cylinders that are no longer in service. This residual gas is reclaimed and sold into secondary markets for which such reclaimed gases are acceptable. Matheson has reclaimed gas from over 10,000 out-of-service cylinders.
 
WESSINGTON CRYOGENICS SET TO ENTER SCANDINAVIAN MARKETS

Wessington Cryogenics (www.wessington cryogenics.uk.com) has partnered with Stavanger- based Fluid Control to sell Wessington’s technology, initially in the Norwegian and Danish markets. The agreement was struck in Houston, TX at NOF Energy’s Offshore Technology Conference. NOF Energy (www.nofenergy.co.uk) is a business development organization for the oil, gas, and energy sectors in the UK. Wessington Cryogenics, currently the NOF Energy company of the year, designs, manufactures, and installs a broad range of cryogenic storage vessels including ISO tank containers for the oil and gas, bio-medical, and science and research sectors. Its key customer base is the oil and gas sector where its tanks are regularly installed on offshore installations and ships. Martin Woodhouse, Sales Manager at Wessington Cryogenics, said: “We have had some exposure in Scandinavia, but this new agreement with Fluid Control will help us carve out a permanent position in these markets with the support of an established and respectable local operator.”
