Michael Brown has been appointed President of Acme Cryogenics, Inc. (www. acme cryo.com) Acme’s current President and Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Blackburn, will retain the title of CEO and Brown will continue to report to Blackburn. In addition to Brown’s current responsibilities for Acme’s global sales and marketing efforts, he will become responsible for all of Acme’s product development, operations, engineering, and quality assurance/quality control divisions. Brown spent fifteen years at MVE/Chart, where he held senior level positions in the sales and marketing department. Just prior to joining Acme, he served as the Business Development Manager for Cryo Associates. He joined Acme in 2006 as Director of Sales and Marketing. In addition to those responsibilities, in 2007 he became General Manager of Acme’s cryogenic vessel repair and refurbishment facility. Brown commented, “I am thrilled and humbled by this opportunity. CRYOTECH EXPANDS EAST COAST SALES OFFICE

Cryotech International, Inc., (www. cryotechinternational.com) a leader in liquid nitrogen delivery systems, announced the recent reorganization of their East Coast sales office with two promotions and a staff addition. Leland Cotten and Scott Shepard have both been promoted to Sales Engineers. Cotten has been with Cryotech for 18 years, most recently as technical coordinator at Cryotech headquarters in Campbell, CA. Cotten will be relocating to Albany. Shepard, previously a field project manager with the Albany office, has been with Cryotech since November of 2007. He will continue to work out of the Albany office. In addition to these two promotions Kirk Kreisher joined Cryotech in April as Field Project Manager in the Albany office.
PAT MURPHY RECEIVES CGA AWARD

The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) (www.cganet.com) has cited Pat Murphy, President of Linde North America (www.linde.com), for his many years of service and dedication to the safety of the industrial gases industry. CGA presented Murphy with the Chart Industries Award at its annual meeting in Florida in April. “I am truly honored to receive this prestigious award,” said Murphy. “Safety is a critical factor in the industrial gases industry, and is Linde’s most important core value. There is no other award that I would rather receive than one for safety.” The Chart Industries Award is presented each year to an individual who best exemplifies the character, commitment, and excellence prevalent in the volunteers from the CGA member companies.
SERVOMEX MAKES KEY APPOINTMENTS

Servomex, (www.servomex.com) a global expert in gas analysis, has strengthened its operations in the Americas with the appointment of Todd Newell as Product and Marketing Manager of Plasma and GC Analyzers for Servomex Canada and Sean Casey as Business Manager for Latin and South America. Newell will be responsible for products utilizing Servomex’s plasma emission detection or peak slicing gas chromatography technologies. Previously Servomex Sales Manager for Latin & South America, Newell will oversee the continued growth of Servomex Canada, and will manage the continuous review and analysis of the plasma and GC products market positions. Replacing Newell in South America is Sean Casey, who has been appointed Business Manager responsible for all aspects of the Servomex operations across Latin and South America including sales, service, and marketing. Formerly Sales Manager for Honeywell Analytics in Latin and South America, Casey brings Servomex a strong grounding in industrial processes and measurement and control for major industries including oil and gas production, refining, and petrochemical and chemical manufacturing.
TOMCO APPOINTS CANTRELL

Tomco Equipment Company (www.tomco equipment.com) has appointed Brian Cantrell as Sales Engineer to work with the sales team to promote dry ice equipment within the US and Canada. He will also assist the Parts and Service Department on promoting parts sales and help on servicing existing Tomco equipment at various manufacturing sites. Cantrell has worked at Tomco as a Design Engineer for eight years and has been instrumental in the development of Tomco’s dry ice reformers. He will focus on the technological and design needs of the customers in the dry ice market — manufacturers and producers.
